As I’ve started brainstorming, the hardest part of this project is narrowing down what I want to do. After looking at student examples, I really like the idea of making a video game related website with a theme of raccoons hunting for trash. I can’t decide if I want it to be from the perspective of the raccoon or from the perspective of someone helping the raccoon. I like the idea of making my GIFs and backgrounds pixelated to enhance the videogame look, but I’m not sure how I would go about creating those or how difficult and time consuming it would be. Another idea I had was to make a website inspired by the dress up themed games where you choose what the character wears, their accessories, makeup, etc. I of course still want to follow a theme of raccoons so it would be a dress for the raccoon themed game. For simplicity I would likely do just a few options for each clothing item since I would need to edit the racoon outfits myself. I don’t want it to be too serious, and for the clothing options I’m thinking more of a costume theme. My ideas so far are a cowboy, policeman, pirate, princess, or fairy. I’ll pick my favorites and use elements of those costumes to make the options for my game. For my conclusions I’ll probably have different end results where the raccoon either loves or hates the outfit the player made for them, and that will be where a lot of the GIF making will go so I can animate the raccoon’s reaction.
