Although it was slightly stressful, I really enjoyed the last project. My biggest regret for my website was just not doing more with it. I think I could have added a lot more features and clothing options if I had the time, but unfortunately I didn’t realize how many factors go into creating the website, and how many versions I would need to make. I think the hardest part was genuinely just logistics, especially with linking all the different pages. I had to make so many outlines to be able to follow my plan and to remember which page was supposed to lead to which. My favorite part was editing the different outfits onto the raccoons, because I was able to edit them sort of badly on purpose to make the game funnier. I also enjoyed doing the GIFs and I think that is something I’d definitely want to try to improve on in the future. All my GIFs for this game were raccoons jumping up and down or dancing which was relatively easy, but now that I’ve had more practice I want to create something a little bit more complex. I think I could have also made more end results for my game this time, when we critiqued in class I really liked how the other games had a lot of random surprises depending on the path you take. Ultimately, I feel really good about my progress with this project and in digital art 1, especially considering I had never used any of these programs before this class. I look forward to gaining more practice and better skills next semester in digital art 2!
